Two tiers. The free one is genuinely useful on its own, because a publication whose free tier is a teaser is a marketing exercise rather than a publication.
The briefing
No charge- The current issue in full, with every section and every confidence marker
- Email notification when a new issue is published
- Notification when a standing reference is revised, and what changed
- Full access to every standing reference on the site
- No advertising network, no affiliate links, no tracking beyond what the site needs to work
Archive and reference pack
Paid tier- The complete numbered issue archive, permanently
- The standing references as a single downloadable reference pack, revised as positions change
- A change log for every revision to a standing reference, with the date and the reason
- The sources register: every institution and document cited across the publication, in one list
- Everything in the free tier
What paying does not change
It does not change what appears in an issue, how a claim is assessed, or whether an organisation is mentioned. It does not buy access to the editor's judgement, an introduction, a mention, or a link. There is no tier that buys coverage, because coverage is not a product here.
It also does not buy certainty. The confidence marker framework applies identically at every tier. A paid archive of speculation labelled as speculation is more useful than a free archive of speculation presented as fact, but it is still speculation and we will keep saying so.
